Registered Dental Hygienist
I was born and raised in the Gibsonton area and graduated from East Bay High School in 1970. I have been a dental hygienist since 1984. Before going to Pensacola Junior College to become a hygienist I was a dental assistant for 11+ years. After becoming a hygienist I had the opportunity to work overseas in the dental field due to my husband's service in the US Navy. I have had the pleasure of working in England and in Spain.
After my husband retired from the US Navy we moved back home to Florida. We have a son who is also serving in the US Navy. I am grateful to work in a dental practice that puts their patients first. We want to make your visits with us as easy as possible and as a dental hygienist it is my job to help you keep your smile and keep your mouth healthy. Routine check-ups and proper home care are the "key."
As Treatment Coordinator, my responsibility is to inform our patients of their dental needs, understand their dental concerns or wishes, and discuss various treatment options to meet those needs within their budget. I have close to 20 years of experience in the dental field and I enjoy applying my clinical knowledge when sharing how Boyette Dental can improve our patients' oral health and give them a smile they can feel confident with.
I received my certification in Dental Assisting with Expanded Functions from Erwin Technical College in 2001 and have worked alongside Dr. McDuffie, performing four-handed dentistry as a clinical assistant, for 10+ years. I now enjoy drawing from my clinical experience when organizing and presenting treatment plans. My goal with every patient is to help them become comfortable with the thought of treatment, knowledgeable of their options, and confident in their decision.
When I'm not in the office, I am busy attempting to keep up with my 13 year old daughter and 8 year old son! I enjoy spending my free time on the water, and am an active member of the Dragon Boat and SUP racing communities.
